 I'm looking for employment applying my diverse abilities to new challenges. I can work alone or as a team player and I appreciate opportunities to share skills and knowledge. As a graduate of the Colorado College's accelerated "block plan", I've proven myself a fast learner. I'm able to give and take direction, brainstorm, problem solve, plan, improvise and critique. I'm self taught in many skills. I desire opportunity for growth and advancement.

  • Planned, designed and created self promotional website.
  • Produced all backgrounds, images and layout from scratch.

    My roles at WVF included Distributor, Editor's Assistant, Technical Assistant, Photographer, Photojournalist, and Graphic Artist.
     I established and operated a computerized distribution system, personally representing the magazine to, and servicing over 400 outlets. My articles, photographs and layout work are exhibited in my online portfolio. I earned a recommendation for my work on the magazine which is also posted. WVF is still in print and has raised it's ad rates 60%, in 2000.

    Sundae Times ('95-'00)

     I founded and operated this small business that provided Sunday delivery of The New York Times to Morgantown, West Virginia for five years, without fail. I did my own auto maintenance, programming, P.R., advertising, spreadsheets and accounting. I closed the business with no outstanding debt or liability before moving to Massachusetts.

    Domestic Partner ('94-'99)

     I supported my partner in her career as a teacher and social worker. My responsibilities included home improvement and auto maintenance, cooking, cleaning, gardening, writing, grading and correcting college tests and papers, night driving, and assistance with her health issues (complications od diabetes mellitus, type1).

    Concord Academy Counselor ('91)

    I started a Nature Studies program and taught crafts and photography to children, ages five to fifteen.

    Hardware

  • IBM/Macintosh: Installed, cleaned (in/out), and upgraded machines for business production use
  • Peripherals: Installed, cleaned and maintained printers, scanners, writable CD, Zip, Floppy, and hard drives

  • Mac-OS: Installed, configured, calibrated, upgraded, and solved problems on machines in publishing workflow.
  • Text: Used various text editors, word processors and email clients for personal, business and prepress.
  • Data Processing: spreadsheets, databases. (Filemaker, Quicken, etc.)

  • KRCC-FM (NPR affiliate) Maintained equipment, assisted Chief Engineer in various tasks, and produced broadcast carts.
  • Electronic Music Studio Staff:  2 years. Assisted students in creative use of sound studio.
  • Phot Lab Technician: Opened and closed facility, prepared chemicals, managed equipment checkout and returns.
  • Sound Technician. Built and operated sound reinforcement system.
  • Colorado College Alumni Admissions Representative Interviewed and advised prospective freshmen
  • WBRS-FM, Waltham/Boston Hosted and Produced programs including live call-in talk, freeform, children's, improvisational ,various live and edited Reports and interviews.
