Slide/Tape Synchronizations
At my high school, Doug Cohen taught a great course in movie making which opened my eyes to both sides of the silver screen. Our motion picture projects were preceeded by two slide sync assignments. Our preparation included the amazing La Jette. a stunning, haunting, minimalist sci-fi piece made only of still B/W shots and narration. It inspired Terry Gilliam's incredible 12 Monkeys.

  1. Mr. Bill gets a job

I enrolled hapless Bill as a worker in my family's construction business.
He arrives at the site to find Foreman Sluggo in charge.
All stolen schtick, Bill is flattened by a dump truck.
and dog Spot is encased in concrete.

2. Catacombs

I shot this in an old graveyard in Lincoln, Massachusetts.
It was set to Tomita's realization of Mussorgsky's music.
I shot this on Kodalith with a reversal process and mounted the slides.
